Dear Colleagues,
This week, we bring you key updates from the AIFC and beyond.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev,
President of Kazakhstan, and Nataša Pirc Musar,
President of the Republic of Slovenia, recently
visited the AIFC during Ms. Pirc Musar's official trip to Kazakhstan. Both heads of state were briefed on the operations and key activities of the AIFC, a pivotal institution in Kazakhstan’s economic development.
The
AIFCA has undergone a significant
organisational transformation, designed to enhance efficiency and sharpen its focus on results. As part of these changes, the number of
divisions has been reduced from 28 to 18, ensuring each one is better aligned with the AIFC’s commercial priorities and impact-driven strategy.
Leadership appointments have also been made with the aim of further strengthening our team.
On 3 April, the
Astana Financial Services Authority and
Ripple, a leading cryptocurrency payment platform, hosted a joint seminar focused on the regulation of digital ecosystems.
We also invite you to
register for
EAW25, set to take place on
1-2 July 2025 at the
IAC premises in Astana. Join distinguished professionals from around the globe for insightful discussions and networking opportunities at this premier arbitration event in Eurasia.
In the world of finance, last week the
US stock market experienced mixed results, characterised by significant fluctuations across key indices. Consumer Cyclical and Consumer Defensive stocks emerged as top performers, amidst the broader market’s volatility.
Don't miss the upcoming
AIFC Talk session on
10 April, featuring Zulfiya Baisagatova, Senior Manager of the Procurement Department, who will discuss updates to the
AIFCA Procurement Policy.
We trust this week’s updates provide valuable insights and encourage you to stay engaged and informed.
Best regards,
The AIFC Corporate Communications Team
