AIFC Welcomes Delegation from Congo
We are pleased to share the highlights from the recent visit of the delegation from the Republic of Congo.
On August 2, the AIFC and the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Congo (MEF) signed a memorandum of understanding, marking the beginning of a collaborative effort to promote economic growth, financial services development, and knowledge exchange. This landmark agreement was signed by Renat Bekturov, Governor of AIFC, and Jean-Baptiste Ondaye, Minister of Economy and Finance of Congo.
The memorandum aims to explore the AIFC providing technical assistance to establish an international financial centre in Brazzaville. Key goals include collaboration in sustainable financing, carbon market development, and creating a sovereign fund for projects in oil, mining, and forestry. Both parties are committed to identifying joint projects, exchanging expertise, and potentially establishing a joint working group to review progress.

During the visit, H.E. Denis Sassou Nguesso, President of the Republic of Congo, expressed keen interest in the AIFC model. This is a testament to the growing influence and success of the AIFC in fostering international financial cooperation. The agreement will foster connections between Central Asia and Africa, promoting the exchange of knowledge and development of financial services between our regions.

We are proud to see the AIFC's expertise being recognized and sought after on an international level. This partnership will undoubtedly open new avenues for collaboration and growth, benefiting both our financial sectors.

We are excited about the potential this partnership holds and look forward to the future collaborations it will bring.
