Welcome to the New AIFC Weekly News Digest
Dear Colleagues,

This week brings exciting developments and key updates across various sectors.

During the AIFC Open Day, participants had the unique opportunity to showcase their activities to members of the Senate of Kazakhstan’s Parliament, fostering valuable connections and collaboration.

We are also pleased to announce the launch of a pilot project aimed at integrating financial literacy into the curriculum of Kazakhstani schools, starting with 9th-grade students in Astana and the Akmola Region. With the AIFC Academy at the helm of teacher training, this initiative is set to scale nationwide through the 2025 academic year, contributing significantly to the country’s financial education efforts.

In the realm of creative industries, experts from the AIFC, in collaboration with DASCO GROUP, have released an insightful analytical review on the creative economy in Central Asia and Kazakhstan. The report highlights the sector’s potential to drive both economic growth and cultural development, drawing attention to the AIFC Venture Studio and a new venture fund aimed at supporting creative startups.

We are pleased to announce the launch of our new YouTube channel aimed at an English-speaking audience. The inaugural podcast features football legend and investor Sol Campbell as the special guest. In this debut episode, Campbell shares insights into his journey from professional footballer to businessman, discussing his investments in real estate, technology, and his approach to financial management.

Looking ahead, the IAC, in partnership with the international law firm Herbert Smith Freehills LLP, invites you to mark your calendars for the IAC Eurasia Arbitration Week 2025 (EAW25), which will take place in Astana, Kazakhstan, from 1-2 July 2025.

We would also like to extend heartfelt congratulations to the financial monitoring authorities on the occasion of the Day of Financial Monitoring Authorities, celebrated at the AFSA. Your dedication and professionalism play a pivotal role in maintaining Kazakhstan’s financial stability.

Lastly, in global market news, the US stock market showed mixed results last week, with fluctuations across major indices. While the Dow Jones posted slight gains, both the S&P 500 and NASDAQ Composite experienced losses, particularly in the technology and consumer defensive sectors.

We hope you enjoy this update and look forward to bringing you more exciting developments in the weeks ahead.

Best regards,
The AIFC Corporate Communications Team
