German business delegation visits the AIFC
On 16th September, the Astana International Financial Centre welcomed a business delegation from Germany, led by Bundestag member Michael Kellner. AIFC Governor Renat Bekturov presented the financial centre and its opportunities for fostering collaboration between Kazakhstan and Germany. The discussions focused on attracting investments and strengthening business ties.
“I am very grateful to the government of Kazakhstan for our close cooperation in recent years, particularly in the energy sector. We have assembled a high-level business delegation, including participants from infrastructure and energy projects, green hydrogen initiatives, as well as the finance and healthcare sectors. There are many opportunities for collaboration.”

Twenty German companies registered with the AIFC are actively engaged in software development, trade and warehousing, professional and scientific services, and the management of holding companies.
“The AIFC is a unique business hub in Central Asia, based on English common law, with its own court, arbitration centre, and stock exchange. Its regulatory framework allows companies to be established in various legal forms, attracting investors to set up in Kazakhstan. The AIFC also plays a key role in fostering investment across the entire Central Asian region, including expanded cooperation with German companies.”
