Happy Nauryz! We extend our warm congratulations to all as Kazakhstan begins its celebrations on 14th March – Korisu Day. This vibrant festival marks the arrival of spring, a time of renewal and new beginnings, offering a perfect opportunity for reflection and fresh starts.

In exciting developments this week, Renat Bekturov, Governor of the Astana International Financial Centre, welcomed Thomas Pramotedham, CEO of UAE-based Presight, to explore potential collaborations on digital transformation and high-performance computing projects. Presight, which is actively expanding its presence in Kazakhstan, has chosen the AIFC as the jurisdiction for its business operations in the country.

In another highlight, the recent AIFC Talk session proved to be a success, bringing together key experts to discuss the complexities of corporate decision-making within the AIFC Authority JSC. The session featured insightful presentations from Aida Mukuzhanova, Director of the AIFCA Legal Support Department, and Aisha Shunayeva, Corporate Secretary of the AIFCA Service of CorpSecretary.

The AIFC Court and IAC Training Centre also provided advanced mediation skills training to over 60 students from Coventry University in Astana. The interactive training empowered future lawyers and leaders with international mediation skills, helping to foster better relationships and resolve conflicts in both personal and professional settings.

On the global front, the US stock market saw a turbulent week, characterised by sharp declines and swift recoveries across various sectors. However, the week ended on a high note with a strong rally, largely driven by a solid performance in technology stocks.
