We were honored to welcome a high-level delegation from the State Bank of Vietnam, led by Deputy Governor Mr. Pham Tien Dung, to the AIFC.
The visit focused on sharing AIFC’s experience in building a dynamic and innovation-driven financial centre in
hashtag#Kazakhstan – aimed at supporting economic diversification, promoting capital markets, and enabling fintech development through a robust ecosystem.
As part of the visit, the delegation toured key AIFC institutions, including the AIFC Court, the Astana Financial Services Authority (AFSA), the AIFC Green Finance Centre, and the Astana International Exchange (AIX). These institutions play a critical role in ensuring AIFC operates with international standards of legal certainty, regulatory quality, sustainable finance, and market infrastructure.
Since its launch in 2018, the AIFC has shown steady growth, reaching over 4,000 participants by mid-2025. AIX, the Centre’s main exchange platform, has also delivered strong performance, with trading volume reaching approximately $730 million in the first half of the year and the number of listings exceeded the mark of 100 placements.
This visit follows AIFC’s recent outreach in Ho Chi Minh City, including a bilateral meeting with Chairman Nguyen Van Duoc of the People’s Committee, a workshop, and a business roundtable showcasing Kazakhstan’s approach to building a financial centre.
We're proud to facilitate knowledge exchange and strengthen ties across Asia’s financial landscape.
