Nursultan Serikbay Policy Officer of the AIFC Authority, spoke at the Alatau RISE With Kazakhstan forum, held on 15–16 October in Seoul as part of an international roadshow aimed at attracting strategic partners and investors to the new city of Alatau.

The roadshow marked the first large-scale international presentation of the Alatau City project, a city of accelerated development set to become a new hub for Eurasia.

The event brought together Kazakhstan government officials, representatives of leading Korean companies, and members of the Alatau City Development Council.

In his remarks, Nursultan Serikbay highlighted the potential role of AIFC Legal Framework in the implementation of the Alatau City project. He noted that the use of the AIFC’s legal system, based on English common law, would ensure a transparent, predictable, and internationally recognised environment for investors.

Earlier, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev instructed that, by 1 September 2026, proposals be developed to further enhance the special legal regime of Alatau City through the extension of the Astana International Financial Centre’s framework and other measures aimed at significantly improving the institutional protection of investments.

The Alatau City project is already seen as a future hub for technology companies and export-oriented industries.
