Kazakh Speaking Club – Join Us Every Wednesday!
We’re excited to share that the first session of the Kazakh Speaking Club was successfully held on 1 October 2025. Thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to the lively and engaging discussion!

If you couldn’t make it, don’t worry, we meet every Wednesday during the lunch break, and we’d love to see you at the next session!

As you know, Kazakh is our mother tongue and holds the status of the State language under the Constitution. In recent years, its use and significance have been steadily expanding across all areas of society.

While English is the official working language of the Astana International Financial Centre, we believe it is equally important to actively promote and further develop the Kazakh language.

To support this, the Department of Corporate Administration and International Relations, in collaboration with the HR and Organisational Development Department, is running the Kazakh Speaking Club to:
  • Create a supportive linguistic environment
  • Enhance our employees’ ability to communicate in Kazakh
  • Foster friendly and informal connections

Here’s a reminder of what to expect:
When: Every Wednesday during lunch (13:00–14:00)
Where: Dubai Hall
Format: Informal discussions on a wide range of topics, from everyday chat to work-related themes
Facilitator: Serikzhan Bakytzhan, our colleague and linguist, who will guide the conversation and provide helpful feedback

The club is open to everyone, regardless of your current level of Kazakh. Just bring a notebook, a pen, and a positive attitude.

Let’s keep the momentum going and grow together in our use of the Kazakh language.

We look forward to seeing you this Wednesday!
